![]() Unique and delightful areas orbiting around the hub area, some of which we travel back and forth to during our quest of that chapter giving the feeling that everything in the area is connected.A lively hub area in the city of Atai with a unique infrastructure, fun & useful commodities/services, along with interesting and involved residents. So I'd simply take these beneficiary elements of Atai and try to have them carry over to other chapters of the game where it is most feasible. And truth be told there's a myriad of reasons, many of which couldn't be continually implemented throughout other chapters in the game. And I began to think about what made that chapter of the game so great in particular (to me at least). Thinking back on what the base game did best, my thoughts kept returning to our time in Atai. Obviously all of these ideas together couldn't have been implemented or else it would have pushed the release date past the post-apocalyptic awakening. ![]() There are a lot of ideas below, I implore you to treat each unrelated idea as its own separate asset rather than all of them as some inseparable bundle where you have to take the good with the bad. ![]() I will mainly be discussing gameplay features, i.e., not involving concepts for the story or lore (though I may bring ideas related to those facets up randomly). I am in no way claiming to be a better game designer nor that my ideas would have brought any heightened success to the launch, this is merely based off what I would have personally enjoyed seeing in the game and that I think would have gone well with the base gameplay and could have realistically been implemented had the idea been there from the start of development. ![]() And I invite you to do the same in the comments below.
